Our client is an independent producer of renewable energy exclusively that develops, finances, builds and operates solar, onshore and offshore wind, hydropower and green hydrogen energy projects. Active in 20 countries in Europe, Latin America and Africa, the group aims to become an independent leader in the responsible energy sector.
Founded in 2019, the Italian branch is part of the French Group and has more than 1.5 GW in the permitting process and first constructions expected in 2024. The goal is to have 500 MW in operation by 2025.

To support this rapid growth, our client is recruiting a Project Developer to join the workforce.
 
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Environmental and Land Engineering or General Engineering with environmental skills.
 
Previous work experience:
Previous experience in the role is required. Previous experience in the field of design and development of plants to produce energy from renewable sources, in the evaluation and thematic mapping of environmental and territorial aspects, in the technical drafting of the documentation necessary for all authorization procedures (Environmental and Construction) and knowledge of all phases of the authorization process of a project is preferred.

Tasks to be performed:
  • Manage and coordinate the activities of the internal development and design group in order to meet deadlines and quality, in order to pursue the necessary authorizations.
  • Coordination of external professionals for the development of specialized studies for the purpose of a complete assessment of the environmental impact of projects according to Italian legislation;
  • Optimize and coordinate, together with the Development Manager, the optimal solution for each project with relative evaluation of impact potentials;
  • Draw up additions and counter-deductions during the project authorization process;
  • Represent the company on all occasions of discussion with the bodies involved in the project authorization process;
  • Evaluate and correct studies performed by third parties;
  • Generate and update operational reports.
 
Skills required:
  • Knowledge of the regulations (national, regional, provincial, municipal, etc.) necessary for the authorization procedures of plants from renewable sources: PAS, AU, PAUR, VIA, VAS;
  • Proficiency and ability in the use of graphic design software: Autocad, QGIS/ArcGIS, GPS and/or other software;
  • Competence and ability to manage grid connection practices with the national electricity grid operator;
  • environmental matters and in particular EIA and SEA procedures;
  • Knowledge and expertise in the design of large-scale renewable energy plants (in particular photovoltaic and wind power);
  • English language B2; French would be a plus;
  • Propensity for teamwork.
