ABOUT THE ROLE & COMPANY

We have partnered up with one of Australia’s largest renewable energy companies. They develop, own, and operate renewable energy assets. They aim to improve the environment by leading Australia’s transition to renewable energy.

This role (Sustainability Manager) will be responsible for coordinating the development, delivery and communication of the ESG strategy and work closely with key stakeholders to ensure the development and implementation of ESG policies, procedures and reporting.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Developing and implementing sustainability strategy
• Identifying the key sustainability issues, understanding implications, and supporting the team in addressing/ overcoming these issues
• Collaborating with the teams to integrate sustainable solutions across all practices
• Preparing reports and providing updates on the roll out of the sustainability strategy to board members
• Plan and oversee sustainability reporting
• Conduct data quality assessments, identifying and resolving discrepancies, enhancing the sustainability data and the performance reporting
• Educate and train employees to understand the sustainable practices and promoting environmental responsibility across the organisation
• Build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, ie suppliers to advance sustainable goals
• Attend and participate in industry conference, seminars and networking events

YOU WILL HAVE:

• Relevant tertiary qualification in environmental science, business, sustainability, climate etc
• 10+ years experience in sustainability, developing and implementing strategy
• Experience in relevant industries, such as, energy, resources, infrastructure
• Knowledge of and passion for embedding sustainability principles, practices and regulations
• Strong analytical and project management skills
