Civil Engineer - Meath, Ireland - Utility-scale Solar Projects




My client was founded in 2018 and operating across Europe, focusing on partnerships and collaboration. They are one of the biggest IPP's across Europe with more than 4.5GWp of projects secured, focusing on utility scale solar and BESS projects. They are on track to successfully develop over 10GWp of clean energy across Europe by 2025.




The Civil Engineer will provide support to the project site teams in providing expertise in various elements such as QA, design support and ensuring compliance with the relevant specifications to deliver large scale Renewable Energy Infrastructure Projects. The solar projects will range between 240MW-550MW across Ireland, with a strong pipeline for the future as well.




Responsibilities:

• Provide support to the site teams to ensure the quality delivery of projects
• Performing quality audits on a regular basis to ensure quality is being met and specifications are adhered to
• Liaising with Civil and Electrical engineers to resolve onsite design queries.
• Performing Clash Detection on proposed designs
• Carrying out surveys
• Documentation management
• Quality inspections and reporting
• Provide assistance during commissioning & handover (including snagging, as built documentation, preparation of Safety file etc.)

Skills and Requirements:

• Civil Engineering qualification.
• Experience working on large scale civil projects.
• Experience in renewable energy projects/background is a plus.
• 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Being able to work within a team and have good interpersonal skills.
• Good report writing and presentation skills.
• IT literate with the ability to operate MS office systems.
• Willingness to travel to sites.
• AutoCAD experience required.
