Product Manager (BESS)

This company develops, manufactures, and sells energy-storage solutions based on batteries. Employees have extensive experience in a variety of industries, including industrial automation, small and medium hydropower facilities, and, of course, lithium and other battery systems. Systems that are suited for a wide range of applications are being developed. Initially with a primary focus on the Netherlands, it was immediately approached by enterprises and (semi) governments around the world due to its broad deploy ability.

The Product Manager BESS will be in charge of the BESS product road map inside the Energy solutions division. They will ensure that our offer is aligned with the current market requirements and will make the bridge with the R&D team. Through their contribution, they're a player in the long-term profitable growth.

A good understanding of the ESS technology and market know-how are essential to be successful in this role. His/her action is one of the main driver of the customer satisfaction.

The Role:
  • In charge of the BESS product road map
  • Align our offer to the current market requirements and bridge with the R&D team
  • In charge of product certifications and adjustments to regional specific requirements
  • Remain focus on market trends, technical developments and innovation in the ESS offer in order to define and guide R&D on future product development
  • Monitoring product cost targets, giving inputs to other functions in the internal value chain to ensure a competitive product line meeting the market requirements
  • Technical support to the sales team for product information, customer training, technical data sheet analyses…
  • Prioritize sales projects to be supported by R&D
  • Organize product launch programs and coordinates product information with our communication teams
  • Support pre-sales and project technical analyses

The Requirements:
  • University degree in a technical/engineering field.
  • A specialization or training in energy or renewable energy.
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in product management positions,
  • You have a proven track record of dealing with customers.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
