JD Ross is partnered with a growing engineering firm who offer expert Electrical Engineering services for a large client base spread across various industries such as power, renewables and mining. They are currently searching for a Lead Control Systems Engineer to join their Brisbane office. 

The Lead Control Systems Engineer is a key position within the organisation and involves leading and managing the electrical engineering team, overseeing project design, software development, commissioning, and training.

Key Responsibilities: Planning, coordinating, and executing complex projects, including technical, schedule, and budget aspects.
Technical Leadership:

• Conduct and oversee detailed electrical design for assigned projects.
• Provide expert advice to the Management Team on technical matters.
• Ensure cost-effective engineering outputs compliant with specifications, client instructions, and standards.

Leadership Capabilities:

• Lead, manage, and support the Control Systems Engineering division in achieving project and department goals.
• Provide detailed and insightful reporting to project managers and business unit leaders.
• Pursue new work opportunities with both new and existing clients.

Your Knowledge Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechatronics or computer engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in the trade – Mining experience desirable
• Strong team collaboration skills and effective leadership abilities.
• Experience in PLC, SCADA and HMI programming and commissioning.
• Experience in electrical design, fault finding, and commissioning of LV equipment.
• Experience in communication/cyber security design and configuration.
• Experience in databases and data analytics.
• Experience in the preparation of estimates for engineering design works.
