Our client is a leading global organisation in the energy sector, dedicated to pbuilding onshore and offshore renewable energy projects.

The Grid Access Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the access to the electrical grid for various stakeholders, with a particular focus on TSO’s and DSO’s.
This role involves ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, optimising grid access processes, and facilitating effective communication between all parties involved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate grid access requests from the engineering and procurement teams and the DSO’s and TSO’s
  • Ensure compliance with national and EU regulations regarding grid access and connection.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for efficient grid access management.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, operations, and regulatory affairs, to streamline grid connection processes.
  • Analyse grid capacity and assess the impact of new connections on the existing infrastructure.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders regarding grid access inquiries and issues.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to grid access agreements and contracts.
  • Monitor and report on grid access performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements related to grid access and management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in grid management, energy distribution, or a related area with a TSO or DSO
  • Alternatively a minimum of 5 years experience in grid engineering from a developer on consultancy
  • Strong understanding of the German energy market and regulatory framework.
  • Proficiency in German and English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Familiarity with grid management software and tools is an advantage.
